From the sayings of Beloved Prophet SAW, here we have simple solutions to harsh intricacies of life. The rooted wisdom in them clearly goes out to illustrate the easiness, simplicity, relevancy and completeness of Islam to the world of today, the same as always. Hope we can emboss our lives with these guidelines.

What is the reward for those who love one another for Allah’s sake?

Allah’s Messenger SAW said: “Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: where r those who love one another for My glory’s sake. Today I’ll shelter them in My shade, today there is no shade but My shade.” (Bukhari)

Who are the cursed ones?

Holy Prophet SAW said, “I only curse 3 types of people:
1. Those people who do not look after their parents when they are in old age.
2. Those people who do not take full advantage of the blessed month of Ramadan.

3. Those people who don’t say, ‘Salallahu -Alayhay- -Wa-Aalahay Wasallam’ when my name is mentioned.” (Muslim)

How was Prophet’s SAW love for Madinah?

“Whenever the Prophet SAW returned from a journey and observed the walls of Madinah, he would make his Mount go fast, and if he was on an animal (i.e. a horse), he would make it gallop because of his love for Madinah.” (Bukhari)

What is the proof of a man’s sincerity?

“The proof of a Muslim’s sincerity is that he pays no heed to that which is not his business.” (Abu Dawood)

What is the ruling regarding doubtful things?

“That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful likewise, but there are certain doubtful things between the two from which it is well to abstain.” (Abu Dawood)

Who does Allah like to meet?

Hazrat Aisha RTA reported that Allah’s Messenger SAW said: “He who loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him.” I (Aisha) said : “Allah’s Apostle, so far as the feeling of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling.” Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet SAW) said: “It is not that (which you construe), but (this) that when a believer (at the time of death) is given the glad tidings of the mercy of Allah, His Pleasure, and of Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him, and when an unbeliever is given the news of the torment at the Hand of Allah, and Hardship to be imposed by Him, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.” (Bukhari)

What is the verdict regarding acquisition of knowledge of Deen?

Abu Hurairah RTA reported Allah’s Messenger SAW as saying:  “He who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah would make that path easy, leading to Paradise for him and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of Allah (Masajids) and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Quran (among themselves) there would descend upon them tranquility and mercy would cover them and the angels would surround them and Allah makes a mention of them in the presence of those near Him, and he who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (high) descent does not make him go ahead.” (Muslim)

How is Allah’s respect injured?

Abu Huraira RTA reported Prophet SAW as saying: “Allah is self-respecting and a believer is also self-respecting and the respect of Allah is injured if a believer does what He has forbidden him to do.” (Muslim)

What does Allah do when he wants to do a favour to somebody?

“If Allah wants to do a favour to somebody, He bestows on him, the gift of understanding the Quran and Sunnah.” (Bukhari)

How does the love of wealth harm us?

Hadhrat Ka’b Bin Malik RTA narrates that Prophet SAW said: “Two hungry wolves let loose in a flock of sheep do not cause so much damage to the flock as does the love of wealth and vanity to one’s Deen.” (Tirmidhi)
